The difference

Your drawings are a file, not our database

Whiteboard tools keep your thinking on their servers, behind their login, on their pricing page. This one saves everything into one plain file on your device. Close the tab, come back in a year, it is still yours. We could disappear tomorrow and you lose nothing.

Questions

Fair questions

Why would I pay if there is no cloud?

You pay for the sync layer: the app writes your canvas into one file inside your Google Drive folder, and reads it back on your other machines. Your own Drive does the transport. We never see the file.

What happens if I stop paying?

Your file stays in your Drive and every device keeps its local copy. You only lose the connect-a-new-device feature. Nothing you made is ever held hostage.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The canvas autosaves locally and the app itself installs to your home screen. Sync catches up whenever Drive does.

Can I leave?

Any time. Export to .excalidraw and open it on excalidraw.com, or take the PNG, SVG or raw JSON. Portability is the whole point.
